Venus Remedies Secures Renewal of GMP Certification from Ukraine’s SMDC
With renewed GMP certification from Ukraine’s SMDC, Venus Remedies showcases its commitment to world-class manufacturing standards. This milestone supports its continued growth in global pharmaceutical markets.

Certified once more, trusted forever. Venus Remedies has proudly secured another feather in its quality cap!
In a significant boost to our global manufacturing credentials, we have successfully renewed our Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) certification from Ukraine’s State Service on Medicines and Drugs Control (SMDC). This renewal reinforces the company’s commitment to expand its footprint in the global pharmaceutical market while committing to world-class quality standards.
The Ukrainian GMP renewal certification applies to Venus Remedies' Unit-II manufacturing facility in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh. This GMP certification is a critical regulatory benchmark that affirms our quality, safety, and consistency of manufacturing processes. It specifically covers the company’s parenteral production lines, including:
- Cephalosporin formulations
- Non-cephalosporin (Carbapenem) formulations
- Oncology injectables (Both liquid and lyophilized)
Not to miss out, Ukraine is a member of the Pharmaceutical Inspection Co-operation Scheme (PIC/S)—an elite consortium of 56 countries that collaborate on harmonized GMP standards across Europe, Asia, Oceania, and the Americas. With robust regulatory credentials in place, Venus Remedies is assured to further expand its footprint across the PIC/S ecosystem.
Venus Remedies already boasts a strong presence in 32 out of the 56 PIC/S countries, such as South Africa, Thailand, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, and Australia.
Moreover, the Ukrainian pharmaceutical market presents substantial growth opportunities, especially in the generic and oncology segments, both of which align closely with Venus Remedies’ therapeutic focus. It is not only a validation of our robust manufacturing protocols but also significantly enhances the company’s global positioning.
Commenting on this achievement, Mr. Saransh Chaudhary, Venus Remedies President, Global Critical Care, stated:
"Renewal of the Ukrainian GMP certification underlines our unwavering commitment to maintaining world-class manufacturing standards. This milestone not only reinforces our foothold in the Ukrainian market but also facilitates deeper penetration into PIC/S markets, significantly enhancing our international growth prospects."
As Venus Remedies continues to align with international best practices and regulatory frameworks, this renewed GMP certification will play a strategic role in reinforcing our credibility and unlocking new avenues for growth.
